Panda Cares celebrates 24 years of Giving with Youth Throughout the Nation for Panda Cares Day

commemorated 24 years of giving during Panda Cares Day celebrating guests and
associates nationwide through a virtual fundraiser that raised $80,950 for the
Boys & Girls Clubs (BGC) of America and Children’s Miracle Network
Hospitals. To make this year even more
special, Panda tied in 8 *Panda Cares Centers of Hope openings to the Panda
Cares Day celebrations at selected BGC and CMN Hospital locations.
Panda
continued the celebration and hosted 126 Panda Cares Day events with the Boys
& Girls Clubs and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Panda Express
Operators and volunteers served bowls of orange chicken, hosted exciting games,
and handed out exciting giveaways and Panda swag. Additionally, the kids
received an exciting surprise visit from our Panda Mascot, Pei Pei! At the Support Center, associates hosted a
local event with the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana - Joe MacPherson Center
for Opportunity. During the celebration, the club opened a Center of Hope space
and was joined by Olympic ice-skating medalists, Alex and Maia Shibutani.
In
all, Panda donated over 17,800 meals, 81,500 books, and 78,120 giveaways. Thank you
to the Boys & Girls Club of America, and Children’s Miracle Network
Hospital teams and Panda associates and guests for making this all possible.
